FRACTILE facade tile for CASALGRANDE PADANA

FRACTILE TILES AS ASSEMBLED FOR THE MILAN EXPO

Collaboration with Casalgrande Padana

Fractile facade tile for casalgrande padana

The ventilated facade system designed in collaboration with legendary Italian manufacturer Casalgrande Padana are innovative both in terms of their design and technical specifications. The complex fractal shapes of the Fractile Bios Self-Cleaning tiles are realized in a three-dimensional pattern out of specially-coated porcelain ceramic. The thermal insulating panel create a “chimney-stack effect,” eliminating thermal bridges and thus allowing for energy savings. In addition to protecting the building against weather and contamination agents, the material provides cutting-edge acoustic insulation and in the patented spray-coating causes a chemical reaction when touched by sunlight to release oxygen.
