Statale University, Playground of the Mind

Conceived as an installation to beautify the Renaissance galleries of the Statale University, as well as to create spaces for reading with a specialized library, Playground of the Mind offers students a unique encounter between past and present. Wooden recreations of famous Renaissance “machines” traditionally designed for reading, writing and contemplation, mix with contemporary library bookshelves, and a sculptural clock, to enhance the university’s galleries with a uniquely meditative experience for students reading and pondering knowledge from antiquity to the future.
